Winter 2014 [Marketing 315] - "Armchair Anthropologist"
It's not often that I have to write extensively for my business administration major, however this is one memo-style piece that I wrote for an international marketing class on the impact of culture on marketing. I was pushed to creatively use my personal experience living in Germany to inform my writing.
Fall 2014 [English 425] - "(Hopefully) Landing THE Job"
This piece is written in an immersion journalism style which allowed me to merge investigative research and my personal experience with the BBA job recruitment process.
Winter 2013 [English 325] - "Signing Off"
After being introduced to the "personal essay," this was my first attempt at writing from my own experience. I have included my draft (left) as well as the final version (right) so that you can see the transformation that this piece went through - both with the inclusion of media and argument development.

SIGNING OFF
Fall 2014 [English 425] - "Becoming One With the Team"
In this essay, I explore a key life experience through an immersion memoir style. This piece propelled me towards a deeper state of understanding about my student-athlete experience, which in turn made my writing more thoughtful and my in-scene writing more vivid.
THE TEAM
Winter 2015 [Writing 420] - "Here's Your Change"
The culmination of my writing career at the University of Michigan, my Minor in Writing capstone project explores the University of Michigan experience through a student-athlete lens.
